Lamborghini Countach Revival: union minimum

Without a doubt, the Countach is along with the F40 the most iconic supercar of all time. These two models being deeply anchored in the collective memory, wanting to revive them requires being ambitious to guarantee an acceptable result. But if the modern Countach is embodied by the Aventador and the F40 by Laferrari, Lamborghini nevertheless wanted to produce a small series of cars that would take up the surname and style of the defunct Countach. The objective, always and again, is to collect nuggets. Because let's be frank, this "resurrection" is more of a commercial coup than pure and hard passion. Indeed, after having worn again and again limited series on the Aventador, they undoubtedly thought that you had to think about stopping just to keep some credibility with the customers (at some point they still end up getting it). We then saw models like the Sian appear, which this time sought to go further than putting a few stickers on an Aventador.
Well now here is the Countach, yet another model that consists of re-bodiing an Aventador.

And if the idea is rather good, due to the prestige of the name which can only guarantee commercial success, the product that Lambo serves us can finally leave you hungry.
It is indeed a rather wise revisited version which omits to take back the very charismatic spoiler which was really part of its identity. We therefore limit ourselves here to reproducing the Countach without the spoiler (which was an option, essential for the look I think), namely those which had a slightly light rear. But even taking over this version, we can say that the designers have remained a little wise (although everything is relative huh!) ... Indeed, the Aventador still seems a little more spectacular to me and the features are in their entirety too close, we can clearly see that this is a timidly revamped Aventador.
In short, we can say that in the case of a car that should have been 1000% let go, even if it meant bordering on caricature (the Countach is a caricature!), it is ultimately a relatively consensual supercar.

The rear optics even seem to be taken from the Sian

Outrageous prices?

If it is admitted that a Lambo is quite expensive (it is moreover the fetish object of crypto hodlers), here we are almost taken for idiots ... Because even if we had to make body panels specific for this model, we stay on an Aventador base which is all around 400,000 euros (price already exaggerated if we get used to what we have in concrete terms, because a V12 is not something either something extraordinary contrary to what we would have us believe, just like having a central rear engine and tubular everywhere, in short ..).
Here the thing sold us between 2 and 3 million euros... So we can imagine that the margins must be crisp!
And to manage to make this price acceptable, the brand obviously uses the technique of the limited series, here at 112 copies. Because know one thing, when you want to artificially increase the value of an object, you just have to limit its production. It always comes down to supply and demand.

Technical?

Well, I already said it was an Aventador, so do I need to repeat?
It is therefore a 6.5-litre V12 which is this time supported by a 34 hp alternator-starter powered by a so-called supercapacitor battery (less energy dense but capable of letting large quantities of current in and out while keeping a good longevity). We are therefore on a very light hybrid solution which just allows us to manage to offer a little more than 800 hp. Because the naturally aspirated V12 begins to level off a little around 780 hp (no turbo to fiddle with to easily have more power, and a priori they have already planed the cylinder heads well!).
